Statement of Faith
We Believe: That the Bible is inspired of God and without error in the original writings. God has preserved His Word and it is relevant for today and all ages.
We Believe: That there is only one Living and True God. He is infinite and sovereign, the creator, sustainer, and ruler of all creation. He eternally exists in three persons. These three persons are God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. They all three are equally and totally deity. We believe that the Father loves us and is at work around us. He pursues a continuing love relationship with all believers that is real and personal. He is infinitely holy.
We Believe: That Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man. He is the only Savior and only means of eternal salvation. We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, and in His sacrificial, atoning, and substitutionary death. He arose physically from the grave, and this proves God has accepted His work for all who will believe. His blood is sufficient to save all who would come to God in faith believing. He ascended to the right hand of God where he acts as our mediator, intercessor, and faithful High Priest. He will come again to receive us to Himself. This Second Coming is Pre-Millennial and Pre-Tribulational.
We Believe: That the Holy Spirit is a person and totally God in every way. He has voluntarily subjugated His own will and desires to accomplish the will of the Godhead. He comes in this age to indwell the believer at salvation. His function and ministries to us include but are not limited to: bringing us to life eternal (quickening), sealing us to God for eternity, teaching us of spiritual truth, convincing us of sin and the need to live a holy life, comforting and encouraging us, endowing us with spiritual gifts for ministry, and giving us the volition and energy to live for God and make God happy.
We Believe: That Satan is real and personal. He is the arch enemy of God and all humans. He seeks to deceive and lead astray all men from following God and to the destruction of their eternal souls. He has already been conquered, and his defeat is sure because of the Name, Person and Work of Jesus Christ our Lord. His eternal dwelling place is the Lake of Fire. We believe that fallen angels we call demons exist and aid him in his evil pursuits and interests.
We Believe: That man (all humanity) was created by God. Mankind voluntarily sinned in disobeying the commandments of God. As a result of sin, all human beings are sinners. We sin against God in word, thought, and deeds. As a result, we are dead in our trespasses and sins. We have no hope outside of Jesus Christ. All people are made up of a physical, mental and spiritual areas of awareness. All human life is sacred because we contain the image and likeness of God.
We Believe: That salvation is a gift of God. It can never be earned. We believe that this salvation (eternal life) is available only through a personal living relationship with God’s Son, Jesus Christ. Once God saves us, we can never be lost. It is God the Holy Spirit who quickens us and brings us to life.
We Believe: That Heaven and Hell are both real and literal places. All people will spend eternity in one or the other.
We Believe: That all those who are saved will experience a changed attitude toward God and spiritual things. They will love Jesus and his church. They will desire to make God happy by living obedient and holy lives.
We Believe: That baptism by immersion is a public profession of personal faith in Jesus Christ. Immersion after salvation is required for all that would desire church membership here.
